In deep grief, the Department of Industrial Sociology of the University of Vienna has to notify that its head, Prof. Franz Traxler, passed by unexpectedly on January 22, 2010.
With Franz Traxler, we have lost not only a brilliant scientist, but also a close colleague and friend, who has essentially coined the department and set up the subject of industrial relations in Austria.
Our deepest sympathy is directed at his small daughter and his relatives and friends.
