EIRO collects and disseminates information and analysis on developments in industrial relations in the 15 Member States, Norway and at European level for a target audience of social partners, national governments, the European Commission and other EU institutions.

The EIRO network is made up of national centres, located in each of the countries, and an EU-level centre, from which information and analysis flow into the central unit, based in the Foundation. The central unit processes and analyses the information which is stored on an online database, EIROnline.

EIROnline carries news, features and comparative studies using the most accurate and authoritative information provided by the EIRO network. Over 1,000 records are stored on the database since production began in 1997 and approximately 100 new records are added each month. The EIRObserver, a bi-monthly bulletin in print and electronic form, published by EIRO, carries a selection of news, features and thematic comparative supplements.
